| HI there! Just popping in to say that I am back. We had a great vacation and I am back to work on beads now....getting myself back in the swing of things is always a struggle once I come home from vacation. But I feel nice and rested and relaxed from the week off. There was wifi up there but unless we wanted to sit in the parking lot and steal it we were basically out of luck on using on the computer! So I didn't get to update as I had hoped. I'll be back with a longer update and some pics from vacation here shortly. Enjoy your Sunday! There is lots for me to do around here thats for sure. Come back soon! Sunday July 13, 2008 Okay I am leaving for vacation here in a few. We will be taking our laptop with us and even though the house we are staying at on the beach doesn't have internet we are hoping that somewhere in town has wi-fi. If so I will be logging on and updating!! Hope you like the new specials. I will take a few orders on the halloween set I will talk to you all soon.Also thanks for the well wishes on me feeling better!! I am doing better now but hope to have my surgery soon. Wednesday July 9, 2008   Here is a few shots of 4th of July at my house-- Mark & my kids along with my brother, sister, sis-in-law, nieces, nephews & dad are all in the pic Hi gals...I know it has been entirely TOO long since my last website update!! So much has been going on so I'll share with you all a little brief update as too what has been happening in my life the last few weeks. About 2 1/2 weeks ago we were at Maumee Bay State Park & Resort staying with some friends on their boat over the weekend and I ended up having a severe gall bladder attack. At the time I had no idea why I was in such horrible pain. It was so bad that Mark actually had to call 911 and the ambulance had to come and get me at the Park. It was horrible and frightening and extremely painful to say the least. If you or someone you know has ever had a severe attack from the gall bladder before than you will understand what I am talking about. Anyhow, I am having more tests done to see if I will have to have my gall bladder removed or not. Most likely I will probably have to have it removed since the probability is extremely high that I will have another attack. Meanwhile I have to avoid fatty foods, spicy foods and alcohol. Which is probably a good thing, right?! Then a few days after the attack when I was still recovering we celebrated my youngest son Matthew's 4th Birthday . Then of course 4th of July came along and we had our usual family bbq and pool time. Plus we have been doing several days of hanging w/ friends and having cookouts and swim time! Oh I almost forgot to mention that this past Monday I went to the Bon Jovi Concert w/ my friend Lindsey and our husbands!! It was such a blast and a great show!! Someday I will make it to front row!!!! LOL Here is a few pics from that....   Now Mark is off work on vacation for a few weeks and this week I have been working on new beads that I want to post on the site. We will be heading out of town this Sunday on vacation so I will be posting all new beads for sale before then!! I hope to make a lot and have a huge selection of items to post!!!   I'll start off with some more pics of Alyssa from her dance recital last weekend!!! She did a dance to the song "Girls just wanna have fun" and then the green outfit is from her gymnastics routine.  Then here is Matthew & Kyle on the steps in the pool. Matthew has just mastered use of the goggles and can do flips and swim underwater for awhile! Oh how the weeks seem to just fly!! I can't get over that feeling that summer is going to be here and gone already. I think it's because the kids got out of school a little later than usual this year. Regardless I hope that is not the case!! I am enjoying every minute of it. It's been just a little chilly this week so we weren't in the pool as much as normal! But there is plenty of time to make up for that. We are taking the kids to see Kung Fu Panda today. I hear that it's super funny! We can't wait. Then tomorrow we are heading down to Maumee Bay State Park & Resort. There are several families that we are friends with that are meeting up down there for the weekend. We were invited to stay on our friends boat. Which apparently is big enough to hold all of us for sleeping arrangements...plus it has air!! So we will probably do that too. Should be good times and hopefully I'll remember to take the camera so that I have pics to share!!! I am off to hit the torch up for a bit. A whole bunch of you are wanting special orders lately (which I don't mind) but I will be sneaking in new beads here and there because I want to post more sizzling specials this weekend.   ~Alyssa getting ready to get her Dance pictures taken!! And then me & her ~Well it's Friday the 13th AND the last day of school for my kids!!! Yippppeeeee!! I absolutely LOVE summer! I love the anticipation of waiting for them to get out of school so that we can enjoy our summer vacation together. I am looking forward to lots of time in the pool, hanging out w/ friends, trips to the beach and bbq's or anything summer related. I know the kids are super excited too so it's fun to watch them get all excited. Sorry I have been a little absent. Sometimes as most of you know life just gets in the way!! Since it's the end of the year there is so much going on. I could ramble on with a long list but I think you get the idea! We have had some severe storms in our area in the past week or so that have left many w/out power. Today (actually in just a few hours) we are suppose to get hit w/ more severe storms which may cause more power outages! So if you don't here from me ASAP then you'll know why. My whole bead schedule is about to change. Instead of currently trying to squeeze time in here and there (since little Matthew is still 3 and at home w/ me all day) I will be working after they go to bed and getting to sleep in since they will ALL be sleeping in now that school is out!! So hopefully this helps me be a LOT more productive! I'll try to post new specials as soon as I can. And when my current orders are caught up I will be updating the treats page! | Well I just got a chance to sit down and kick the kids off the computer and update! I was up late last night watching the Stanley Cup Playoff game. If you live in Michigan or Pennslyvania then you can probably relate! Anyhow so today I am running on only 5 hours of sleep . I don't function well without my sleep!I have been doing some shipping and answering emails today. That in itself is a job! I plan to work on beads this evening--as now I have lots of orders to keep me busy! And thank you so much to everyone who purchased a set from the specials. I really appreciate it. I will update the treats page (the made to order page) with new sets for ordering once I get caught up on the rest of the orders. OH! And as for the pandora beads that I mentioned doing recently...after checking out a glass pandora bead that my friend has I realize that mine need to be just a tad smaller. Saturday May 31, 2008 I apologize for the delay in new postings....last weekend we did a garage sale with another family at the last minute so we got involved in that all weekend (plus celebrating Memorial day) and then my server was being weird and not letting me update AND then Alyssa got sick!! So here I am finally updating. I am off to see what I can do about taking pics of new beads and see if I can get them all up for you bead ladies!!!! ~ Carrie | ||
